This past weekend, Republican "kook" Ron Paul won the CPAC presidential straw poll with 30 percent of the vote.

Mitt Romney came in second with 23 percent.

This is the second year in a row that the Republican congressman from Texas has been the decisive winner at the Conservative Political Action Conference's annual gathering.
